Puffball Fungus

A damp start to the day and the paths round Pollok Park were rather mucky.  The dogs and I needed a walk so we tried to avoid the wet grass muddy verges as we wandered through the park.

The weather improved and by the time we were walking back to the car the sun was shining and it was reasonably warm. 

I spotted these puffballs growing in a rotten tree stump .... I did have to tie the dogs to the fence while I practically knelt on the grass to take my photograph the fungus.
