A Plan, coming together

The Chimney Sweep was to come at eight, so that he would be finished at 8.30, so that I could work at home until 12.30 so that I could get the skip filled for once and for all and the whole place clear of broken slabs and leftover weedy soil and bits of foundation, which needed to be broken up with the noisy breaker, all of needed to be done by 3.30 so that the man could come and inspect the boiler, which needed to be done before 4 so that I would have time to nip to the allotment and pick things and then go and have a lovely little congratulatory end-of-the-mess drink before the day started again. 

And it worked.
