and heavy grey sky most of the day.  I was pleased I went out walking early before it started.  What gives me the most pleasure about this blip from the weeping cherry tree on our front lawn is that the tree is in full blossom and looking great again.  It is quite an old tree which had always looked lovely but three or so years ago it lost all its leaves like several others in the area and was looking very sick.  By chance the aborist had read of a new treatment which he thought was worth a try and he trialed it on this tree,  It has gradually improved and the blossom this year is lovely once again.
