Wasp mimick

I think it's a wasp mimicking fly, on account of the narrow waist you can just detect through the closed wings.  If I had been lucky enough to get wings open I would have had a better idea.

In my own garden just for a change.  A beautiful warmer day today, so the insects are starting to fly.
