The rain cometh

Not blipped for a couple of days as my Bob Cat has been absent and caused me no end of worry, but he has returned and is safe and well, Al Humbdullilah :-)

The last 2 evenings have brought amazing sunsets as the winter clouds are beginning to arrive late afternoon.
We look forward all summer to the cooler evenings, a low sun and magnificent colours in the sky. These clouds are supposed to bring rain Monday. We are even on High Flood Alert in this area?!!!

This is at the end of my street. Zaneb, the little girl who lives next door to me, is helping Sayed, our night security man to build a fire. They are going to cook the corn on the cob (Dora) he has just picked from the crop you see in the background.

Sayed is also responsible for finding Bob, feeding him, cleaning him up and giving him hugs at 2am this morning. Bob came sauntering into the street, a little worse for wear, after a 4 day walkabout in the banana plantations!
