Hobby - or chore

Gardening is no chore to me although at times it is tough as I have slopes back and front to contend with. I was digging a garden at 8 years of age as my father was in poor health and it gave me pleasure to think I was in some way helping him. Being outside and trying to create an area to enjoy is time consuming but enjoyable and yes there is the aching back, dirty hands and the inevitable pests but it's all treatable.
