Sunrise Bow
Location: Ryder's Hayes Mere, Pelsall
I hadn't visited this location for some time. It was in the news back in June when a young schoolboy drowned in the mere, once a sand and gravel quarry. Tragically another boy had drowned there ten years previously. the only evidence were small brass and hand carved wooden plaques commemorating the young man. According to the local fire service it is the third most common cause of accidental death for under 16s.
Plenty of cloud in the sky initially but as we neared sunrise the sky coloured up. I'm sure it is just the effect of using a wide angle lens that makes this look like a bow.
Technical: a 5 shot panoramic stitch, using Lightroom's photo merge facility. used the basic sliders to reduce highlights and lift shadows. A bit of clarity and vibrance, before final sharpening.
