Bolling Hall Housebody

Today we visited Bolling Hall which was built in the 14th Century and is one of the oldest buildings in Bradford. This room is known as the Housebody and the stained glass window depicts the shields of various families that the Tempests (owners of Bolling Hall) considered important. Some of these shields are of families that the Tempests were related to by marriage, (such as the Bollings, which is how they came to own the Hall). Others are of important families in the area.
