Rain on the smoke bush

A damp day today.

After a late return home because of problems on the east coast line it was an early start with an active two year old. Good fun but no time for photography.

Luckily the smokebush was looking handsome with raindrops on its leaves. This is a small specimen so no 'smoke' this year. Maybe next. The larger smokebush had to go earlier in the summer as it succumbed to some kind of virus. Hope this one doesn't go the same way.
