Little Theatre

This is the side of the 'Little Theatre' in Gateshead.

This site (originally a house and plot of land) has been home to the theatre since 1939. The theatre survived an air raid in Spring 1943 when bombs landed in Saltwell Park, blowing in the doors and windows and damaging the roof.
The theatre as we know it today was completed in Autumn 1943.

I like the shape of the wall, windows and the ceiling, but I don't like how concrete the building looks.

I've never been in the theatre, but I reckon there is a spiral staircase beyond this wall. Some day I will have to investigate!

Today I worked my first full day in the office since November 2008! It went ok. Very busy, but ok. I blipped this on the night time walk.
