The Glenfinnan Viaduct
Tuesday 5th, fourth day of my holidays.
The weather didn't look great but we decided to take the car and go to Fort William. It was raining when we got there so we took cover in a coffee shop. The one thing I remember from there is a delicious orange and chocolate cake. When it stopped raining, we went for a wander around town. Fort William doesn't have anything special I have to say but it's a good place to stop if you are planning to do some hill walking in the area.
Then we went to see the Glenfinnan monument and viaduct. We found the monument straight away but the viaduct was a bit more tricky as it's a bit hidden from the main road. We actually drove for quite a while looking for it until we realised we had driven too far. We really enjoyed the views though! When we got back, we realised that it wasn't actually too far from the monument... hahaha!
It would have been great if the train had gone past at the time of the photo but I was not so lucky. We went for a walk around the viaduct and we had a spell of sunshine as well!!! :)
Back in the chalet we didn't do much.
