WHITLEY BAY.... AGAIN

Today is 11 years since the death of my husband Douglas. I was looking through some old photo albums to find a snap to blip and I came across this one taken at Whitley Bay. Seemed appropriate to use it as I was at Whitley Bay yesterday.

This photo was taken in 1979 - when Douglas and I were first going out. He is wearing a suit as we had gone straight from the office ( we worked together in Newcastle ). The weather looks rather chilly and windy. Apologies for my "Kevin Keegan perm" ......... I can assure you that they were very popular in the 70's. Back then my hair was very ginger auburn. No idea who took the photo - probably just a passer by.

Just me and the kitties at home today. Neil went out clubbing last night and stayed over at a friends. Then today he went straight to play rugby and will probably be home late. Hope he doesn't get injured like last week.

I listened to the Newcastle match on the radio this afternoon. A 2 -2 draw away at Reading. From what I heard it seems like our last goal by Demba Ba should not have been allowed ( he punched it into the net !!!!! ???? ) However its good to get a point whichever way you get it.
