Edinburgh Riding

Today is the day! The Edinburgh Riding of the Marches. Over 280 horses. Wow.

It is a bit difficult to take photos when carrying a large and heavy banner so here is the procession waiting outside the City Chambers before heading off down the Royal Mile to meet and lead the cavalcade up to the Mercat Cross. I carried the banner of the Incorporation of Furriers.

Then it was off to the Three Sisters for beverages, a brass band and a singalong. Brilliant day!
