Heart of the Dahlia

Poppy, Mia and I enjoyed a lovely walk through Pollok Park this morning. 

The leaves are turning to their autumnal colours .... the gardeners were busy planting up in the formal garden, clearing some of the overgrown rhododendron bushes and managing to find time for a wee cuppa.

The dahlias continue to provide a great swathe of shapes and colour .... for a showy flower you can't beat a big blousy dahlia.
