What is it?

Went shopping this morning and then met up with my friend Chris.  Her office is being moved downstairs and fittings were disappearing around her.  Picked KG up from the sports centre and went over to Wot Not to see if our items had sold only to find it closes on a Tuesday Grrr.
A quiet afternoon cleaning the bird feeders and topping them up.  As I went out of the front porch this insect was basking in the sunshine - I have no idea what it is but when it flew away when I opened the door it looked a bit moth like.  
Another beautiful sunshiny day - we obviously chose the wrong week to go away!!
