Beamish Museum

Another trip to Beamish Museum today.  What a beautiful warm day it has been here.  As usual lots going in.  We listened to an ex miner telling us what it would be like to work in a a mine in the early 1900's and also told us about the important role pit ponies played.  We also found  a new path to walk along that we'd never seen before.

We were talking to man who is a Friend of Beamish and he was telling us that on Thursday the work starts to create a 1950's town.  It will have council houses, prefabs, a cinema, coffee bar, toy shop etc.   Should be good.
