Mono Monday : : Memories
Carrying buckets of rocks around yesterday caught up with me overnight, and I could barely move this morning as I crept into the car and headed to my 8am Pilates class. The class helped, and coffee afterwards helped even more. Tobi and I discussed the a wide range of subjects from bugs to wedding gifts. Our ability to talk about 'nothing' a couple of times a week bewilders OilMan who needs a written agenda.
In order to delay going home to the chaos for just a bit longer, I decided to get a pedicure. The massage chair felt wonderful and with my well tended toenails in a lovely shade of royal blue I was feeling much restored and ready to face the plastic and the tarps.
Turns out that wasn't the problem. Dave and Dave are nearing the end and have taken the plastic off almost all the doors and windows. But the wifi was out for the fourth time in three weeks and OilMan was attempting to connect on his cell phone with a 'person'. I can't help being reminded that when the guy came to hook up our cable service, he had a t-shirt that said "Rethink Possible" and I couldn't help thinking that that was a pretty lame motto....Life was so simple when we had never heard of the Internet. Who knew, back in the day when our mothers made us write hand written thank you notes for birthday presents, that we would one day find ourselves yelling over the phone at a robot?
The solution to the question of today's photograph arrived in the form of the UPS truck toiling (backwards...don't ask me why) up our driveway and the driver delivering into my hands a beautiful Blipfoto book grandson Will did for me. I gave him HazelH's formula and a copy of an old 365 Book and he produced this 110 page book. We had agreed that he'd try that and see how it came out and if we liked it, he was hired for about four more years' worth. It is filled with happy memories....I think he did a splendid job...even editing the text and choosing the cover photo....
