Taigh Ruairidh

After a dismal start to the day (and a false start on the blipping front), the day improved greatly and this afternoon hubby and I headed towards the north of the island to do the walk to Brothers Point. I am not sure who the brothers were or why the point of land is named after them but it is a lovely walk down a steep path to the shore and along towards the point.

Unfortunately we had only got a short distance over the river and along the shore before I realised I had had a text from our lad to say could we pick him up at 4pm when his shinty was finished. As it was already after 3pm we more or less had to turn around straight away and head back.

Never mind, now I know where it is I will be back another day!

At the bottom of the path overlooking the sea were some ruins and one of them had a small sign saying Taigh Ruairidh, or Ruairdh's house. Not a bad place to have a home thats for sure!
