Seafield Pond Monochrome

It is sometimes quite surprising to see scenes which you see most days in a different light, in this case as a monochrome. Granted I have worked quite hard in post-processing to maximise contrast and structure, nevertheless the monochrome gives a far stronger sense of mood and tonal range. Here you are looking over Seafield Pond, which actually is a man-made structure covering over a former waste tip. Behind the pools and reflected in it is the Belhaven caravan site. The plume of smoke which appears to come from just behind the trees is actually from the Cement Works which are about five miles away and that is the only feeble link that I can make to today's challenge ( a question of relativity ! )
