Rest in Peace

Yesterday morning we learned that Ernie (on the right) had passed away having battled leukaemia for many of his 12 years on earth. He and his brother Joe were both in my class. Ernie has become something of a local celebrity, he has a wicked sense of humour and has spent the last few months undergoing palliative care while trying to complete his bucket list. Ernie's brother Joe is the most unassuming young man who took enormous care of his younger brother. I am proud to have known them both. Keep smiling in Heaven Ernie.
