The morning after

Sunday 17th September 2017 (1849)
 
Breakfast extended most of the morning before the whole family were up. Some had to start the journey home, others were able to stay another night. 
 
Some of us went out for a walk alongside Rudyard lake. We had the two little ones with us (5 and 3) and we were lucky to find a miniature steam train half way along the lake. The girls got a ride to the other end whilst some of us returned to get the cars and meet them at the station.
 
Back at the Inn we were eating up leftovers. I spent quite a bit of time in the evening entertaining the two girls and getting to know them a bit more. They are my gt-nieces but it is the first time we've met as they live in California. They've coped well with their trip to the UK with Daddy and being thrown into meeting all the family at once! 
 
I took this rainbow from our dining room. It was so beautiful in the valley. There were also some birds of prey flying around and I was determined to photograph them. I was pleased with the shot in the extras.
