Entertaining

Never before have I been this organised with cooking a meal - and it actually worked!  I did have to adjust all the timings by ten minutes, as I started later than planned, but amazingly I dished dinner up - with everything cooked just right - at the exact allotted time. 

We had friends over for dinner this evening - Tim's friend of 30-odd years, and his wife, who were visiting from the Wirral.  We cleaned the flat again this morning, then re-threaded the dining room blind again (again, fairly unsuccessfully, but oh well), and they came round just after 4pm.  We had a really good catch-up, chatting away for hours, eating the pie I'd made, then sitting round the dining table until gone 10pm.  Lovely evening :)
