Proud as Punch!

Our eldest grandson came round today to show us his new car. ( new to him) He was so thrilled.
He has saved up for it, and the rest is an early 21st present from various people.
Don't you just love the colour!
He hates having his photo taken, but just managed this one shot.
His biggest expense however is the insurance, which he is paying for monthly out of his earnings from his weekend job.
It will certainly get him to Uni. so much faster.
He used to have to catch a bus into Leeds, and then a train to Huddersfield.

I remember our first car which we bought from my dad. We had been married a year.
Insurance wasn't so expensive in those days, and MrC couldn't drive.
How things have changed.
