Day 7

Hi Ho - Hi Ho ......... it's off to Sandwood Beach we go.
Well, they did - I didn't ................ far too far a walk for me I am afraid (about 10 miles they did).

So I stole Chicken Lady's car and went for a drive.

I went and had the cobwebs blown away on one of the headlands - untill the wetness arrived.
Then I moved on.
By the time I had reached the nose-licker the rain had stopped but it wasn't long before the sky disappeared again.
So I carried on down the road to the abandoned cottage which looks much better with the dramatic sky.
Further down the road I was taking some pictures of a river cutting through the landscape but I couldn't resist the noise coming from under the bridge carrying the road. The power of the water over the rocks was incredible. Unfortunately you can't see any scale - but it is about 3 feet above the river.
I was heading for Inshgra where there is a really interesting old building.
It is an ideal subject for a bit of macro with all the cracking paint showing all the different layers of paint and where it splits over the knots in the wood. It is right next to a small scrap yard with some dead dashboards.

Guess what drove me away...........

Back at the cottage it was dry and since I had a spare minte or two ............
Some kind of wheels
Some colourful and interesting local rocks
Some sticks.
