Chickadee

My husband and I are driving into Boston this afternoon to visit my son and daughter-in-law.  It's usually the other way around, since they like the opportunity to get away from the city, but their work commitments made it difficult this time.  Before we head out we went for a favorite walk, through the scrub pine woods to the bay.  We didn't see much wildlife, but we did encounter a noisy group of Black-capped Chickadees.  The lack of light through the trees created this black background, which surprised me. I could have used a smaller aperture to get a crisper shot, but it was one of those situations where I had to act fast and think later.  Next time...
