Davina's Story

Davina had decided early on in her working life that she would work in "care". She started at the bottom as a carer and worked hard. Gradually over the years she got promoted, until one day she found herself in charge of a whole wing at a local care home. She had 4 part-time carers working for her and everything was going well until her managers decided to increase the number of patients that she was responsible for. What I haven't said is that she was working with patients with dementia and her responsibility grew to 28 people. She started to worry and stress until one day it got too much and she quit.

She needed a job and knew that she had to change her career path. She applied to work in the NHS, but unfortunately all of her hard to get qualifications counted for nothing in the NHS. So she is one of the lowest of the low but she is happy.

Busy with drips 24/7.

The pain is starting to become unbearable.

Hopefully tomorrow will bring news of some sort, and the correct treatment will be given.
