En route to Fairfield
Today the lovely JR, the one with his eyes closed, led a walk from near to Patterdale up to Fairfield and along the ridge. The return for most was by St. Sunday Crag.
We went up and up and up very steeply. The views at the top were our reward. We saw hardly anyone on the way, but Fairfield was busy. It was cold and windy on the top, but we found rocks to shelter us while we ate lunch.
Kate, Lesley and I, the 3 with dodgy knees, came down via Grisedale Tarn. It was very challenging, to say the least.
Arth said to Aggie, "has she taken leave of her senses?"
We had a good meal and then an evening of group talent. It's amazing how quickly we can clear the lounge!
