Spot the spire

Spent a wonderful day along the Thames Path from Rotherhithe to Tower Bridge watching the Thames sailing barges sail under the raised Tower Bridge. Quite a sight. Coffee in Butlers Wharf, lunch in Hays Galleria and then we crossed the bridge to the north side and looked at all the yachts in St Katherine dock

. Amazing renovations of the old wharves, breweries and docklands. Love this part of London. Shame a one bedroomed flat is £1.5m otherwise it would be nice to have a weekend pied a terre.

My contribution to Admirer's Half Century Challenge is Spot the Church Spire amongst the very contemporary architecture of the city's buildings. Quite an incongruous sight. And my extra shows the contrast of the 1890s bascule and suspension bridge with the 21st century. office blocks.

Congratulations to Admirer for hosting this challenge. What an achievement - 50 weeks of testing our skills!

Whoops. Just realised (Sunday) I forgot to tag silly Saturday. Making amends now.
