Half way up the stairs is the stair where I sit

We've finally got the hall stairs and landing decorated, and the new flooring laid.  There have been one or two problems along the way, but the lest said about that the better.  I've spent part of today getting that mirror back on the wall, not an easy task without any help.  But the careful use of a portable work bench and piles of books to get it to the right height while I attached it to the wall worked brilliantly.  

All of which is just as well really, as my brother Brendan and his oldest lad Will arrive tomorrow to stay for a few days.  Looking forward to it? Just a bit!
