First House, How Exciting

Andy and Jess picked up the keys for their first house yesterday and today the three of us plus Jess' dad Ian set about ripping out the kitchen, removing the wall tiles, stripping the wallpaper (whole house!), skipping the lounge carpet etc. We got 80% of the way there I'd say, pretty good. And Mrs K came round to cut the grass.

Lots more to do to be ready for painting (the whole house), including some wall lining to go up the stairs, then the new boiler and central heating system, new kitchen and new flooring downstairs. Fair play, they're not messing about but they have saved hard for this and Bristol isn't the cheapest place to get on the first rung of the property ladder.
