Setting the Tone

.... for a wet day.

A morning at Basketball, chatting around the parent's table and occasionally helping adjust the court furniture.  Jamie lasted the course this week but we skipped a possible afternoon outing in favour of a relaxing afternoon at home.  Sofa time for Jamie, I've done a bit of this and a bit of that, as parents do.  The most exciting (?) bit was when the washing machine decided not to drain or spin.  I followed all the 'fixes' in the manual to no avail, prone on the floor trying to get behind it, encouraging it to disgorge smelly waters from the drain filter .... Yuck!   In desperation I risked asking it to start a new wash.  Kill or cure, flood or ,,,,, relief!  The drum turned, I switched to 'spin only' and bingo! No idea if it'll misbehave again next time but at least this load is hung up to dry in the nice warm kitchen :-)
