Pavilion of Serenity

The first impression might be misleading. The shape, the color, the surrounding: you may think this is Japan. But no, this is Thailand and there is nothing fake about today's blip.
There are many parallels between the Japanese and the Thai cultures. Both nations are aware of this fact. But if you look closely at the roof ending, it shows a typical stylized image of a Garuda bird. And indeed this is a typical Thai pavilion. It is standing at one of the two entrances to Benchasiri Park on Sukhumvit Road, next to the Emporium.
It provides a sort of serene break to the hustle and bustle of the city traffic. One extra reason to account for the beauty of 'the City of Angels'.
