Breakfast

I got up at silly o'clock this morning to milk. It had been raining (again!) during the night, but when we got to the cowshed the stars were shining. The rain arrived again while milking - typical spring weather.

After milking and before breakfast I fed the calves. This wee jersey was born on Wednesday, and this morning learnt to drink from the feeder.

The day was spent feeding out, getting cows and calves out of paddocks, setting up paddocks for the cows for the night and getting ready for the afternoon milking - and of course feeding the calves again.

It's been a busy day, so I'm just about off to bed so I can do it all again tomorrow.
