Ackersounds (Acker= Ploughed Field)

The village equivalent to the Young Farmers Club have for years organised an annual  party weekend for the village and surrounding area.

A farmer - Josef Müller - kindly empties his field barn on the edge of the village and the YFC take over.

In come generators, water tanks, mobile toilets, slurry tanks, kitchen equipment, bars, food, beer, beer, beer and the odd bottle of spirits.

Friday night is then disco night . On Saturday they reorganise the barn and in the evening it is a traditional Bavarian brass band night under the motto "Lets Schunkel" - Lets Sway - for the older generation.

This year it was complimented by a Motocross race early Friday evening, right next to the barn.

Great work by the YFC which in Bavaria is called the KLJB -  the Catholic Country Youth Movement.
