Brewer's Blackbird

This is Thursday's blip... 

The campground is full of these birds right now.  They are probably about ready to move south or west to spend the winter.  I liked the way this female looked in the morning sunshine.

Piper had a nice swim and a long walk this morning.  It was sunny and warm and looked like a beautiful day was ahead...  Not long after we got back to camp a chilly wind started to blow in some dark clouds and the rain wasn't far behind and it continued on and off all day.  On a warm sunny day in Colorado's dry air it takes about 2 hours for Piper's copious fur to dry.  Today she was still damp at bedtime.  Not sure if there will be a lot of swimming this time....
