Cock Pheasant

Normally the pheasants only stay around our garden and the paddock behind us for a couple of months but this year the cock pheasant has been around for at least four months. Fortunately he's not announcing the dawn outside our bedroom window any longer but he can usually be seen either strutting around under the bird table or lording it over the paddock from the the top rail of our back decking inevitably leaving his white calling cards all over the railing. Still he makes a very colourful subject on a miserable rainy day.
