Woodland restoration

I hadn't been along to Chatelherault Country Park recently, so this was the first time I had seen the result of the native woodland restoration project. The exotic American hemlocks and conifers which had obscured the view of the Avon Gorge from the hunting lodge have now gone and will replaced by native broad leaved woodland species, restoring the woods to their former glory and helping local wildlife.
