On the case.....

Kathy is 92 and a very special friend from church,  always cheerful and positive despite an increasing frailty that comes from growing older....

Today we visited several antique showrooms in an attempt to alert the owners to a theft of two beautiful art deco figurines from her home last week. Just in case someone might bring them in for selling. Taken from under her nose while she slept and by someone supposedly caring for her....

She was able to produce photographs of the figurines and valuation documents. The value isn't the concern. They were given to her by her father in 1943 when she was 17 and he knew he wasn't going to live much longer due to illness. He was 47.

We were so grateful for the concern and attention we were given by all the people we talked to today. The figurines are very recognisable in the trade and their loss appreciated by all. Auction houses have been e-mailed and contacts informed.

Kathy then took me out to lunch and we chatted about all sorts of GOOD things. We arrived back to her home satisfied we'd done all we could to trace the stolen property.

I was delighted to be free to help my dear friend today.....
