Gone to Seed

Not a bad day at work. The children are still doing half days so we have the afternoons to do paperwork and planning.
We picked some sunflowers from the garden to put into the science investigation area. The children enjoyed looking at leaves, conkers and flowers through magnifying glasses and using tweezers to transfer seeds and beans into small pots.
I wasn't expecting a visit from our Headteacher with the school advisor this morning but they came and had a good look around and seemed quite happy.

The weather forecast is forcing us to rethink my birthday celebrations at the weekend. At this rate I could be at home with a jigsaw and a sweet sherry.
