Battle of the spiders

I didn't get far on my walk this morning.  Nothing much around the community orchard but plenty of activity further round with a hornet doing circuits, a comma sunbathing and a red admiral flitting about aimlessly.

However, what really grabbed my attention, for more than half an hour, was the battle of the spiders.  I am not well up on spider names but the little one was trying to get the better of the big one and was taunting it before retreating and then coming back for another go.

In between times I was photographing the butterflies, hornet and a shield bug before going back to catch up on the action.
