A Big Thank You to Mr Hediger.

This week at school was the start of Photo of the Week. On Monday mornings a photograph is placed on display in the classroom and the pupils are given a day or two to draw their own conclusions. This is then followed by a group discussion. Markus Hediger kindly agreed to be the first to show his photograph to the class. The pupils loved the photograph and we had a great discussion about the vibrant colours, how the photograph was taken (coincidence or staged) and why Europeans tend to wear dull colours. There were many questions, which Markus has generously answered. Did you know that even though Markus is a brilliant photographer he is apparently a terrible painter?

So a big  thank you again and a big thank you to those who have already agreed to allow their work to be shown in the next few weeks. Blipfoto is an amazing resource of images, but what makes the pupils experience unique is that they can communicate with the photographer, which is very special.

I'm planning to ask other Blipers for permission to display their photographs in the future, it's a big ask so please don't feel guilty if you don't wish to take part.
