Solitary dragon

Continuing odd weather with intense sun, followed by a downpour, followed by brief blue skies.

On my way to Lidl, I strolled round Christian Fields, the rather ramshackle and usually forgotten council Nature Reserve just off the ring road. It's usually deserted (apart from the odd dodgy character.). Today there were two men putting their model cars through their paces among the teasels. They seemed surprised that anyone was actually walking around.

Surprisingly, there were butterflies : several Speckled Woods, a white, and a very bedraggled Red Admiral.

But there was a dragonfly, helpfully posing for me on the wood near to the now deserted pond. I'm usually hopeless with them (I don't have Kath's skill.) But this chap was being very cooperative.
