Chapati Workshop, Glasgow Gurdwara

As part of Doors Open week in Glasgow, the local Sikh Gurdwara are running a series of Chapati making workshops.

We were very warmly welcomed. Covered our heads, removed outdoor shoes, given indoor footwear, and off we went to the kitchen.

It was very interesting going through the process, including blessing of ingredients.

Afterwards we visited the Prayer Hall, and were offered a simple vegetarian meal. We all took our own Chapatis home, to share with family.

The Gurdwara is open Friday and Saturday this weekend, 10 am - 4 pm. Worth a visit. 37 Albert Drive, Pollokshields, Glasgow.
