Nearly Famous

The new Ai Wei Wei exhibition at Sabanci Museum opened today with a talk from the man himself @ 18.00.   So,  Erin, Maria and I rushed to Emirgan the moment school was finished, in order to see and hear this extraordinary artist. Ninety minutes of illuminating insights to his life and philosophy - he described himself as an activist rather than an artist - left us in dire need of vittles so we hit a great pub-style bar in Bebek for dinner and beer.  We have to go back to view the artefacts another time - the exhibition is open until January.  Meanwhile, Ai Wei Wei's Instagram Account where you can almost see me is here - (hence "Nearly Famous")
