Thief

Was sitting with my coffee watching the birds enjoying the freshly filled feeders this morning when I noticed what I thought, at first, was a squirrel; I have seen them here before - but on this occasion it was a RAT! Neighbours have chickens and several others also have feeders so the rats have a choice of food halls!   
I moved the feeder so that rattie could not use the bush as cover/ladder to get to the pine nuts. 
I did not see it again and hope my moving the feeder and Daisy barking and chasing up and down in the garden saw it off.
Am back home now having collected Daisy's owner from the station earlier. It was a lovely few days and easy to get my steps in what with all the doggie walks in between showers.
