Tiny Tuesday: Green
I went to the National Capital Dahlia Society gardens today hoping to catch something small on the beautiful Dahlias that are now in full bloom. I was sidetracked by the hummingbirds in the adjacent garden however, and decided they were more in keeping with the theme. They absolutely love the Lion's Ear plants which must be at least 8-9 feet tall.
Number one son and family are on their way home from Charleston. They have been slowed by some serious traffic. The neighbors have warned them there is no power so they know what to expect. Number two son was finally able to get out of the neighborhood today when the water receded from the roads, but he says there is nothing in the grocery stores. He has no power and it may not be restored until Sunday. Florida in September is incredibly hot and humid so the absence of AC and fans will be very difficult. It is going to be a long recovery.
