Santiago de Compostela

Apparently the locals say it is at its most beautiful in the rain.  I've not much evidence to the contrary, there having been only scattered sunny spells.

The drive was longer than we thought, but the lunch was lovely and the cathedral quite something.  Only here would they do a child's veal steak and chips.  It was much appreciated. 

Great evening walk along the coastal path, where the pine forest comes right down to the crashing waves.
