End of summer

That's all folks! What little summer we had has now officially gone.
Apparently 23rd September is the official end of summer this year, although British Summer Time, when the clocks go back, is not for a few weeks ( I think).
But with the leaves just beginning to turn, as you can see here on this tree in the grounds of Woodend hospital, it is time to put the short sleeved shirts into hibernation, and dig out the woolly jumpers.
