246 Hoverfly ID

An unexpected offshoot from taking macro photos is that I now want to be able to ID them properly - and hoverflies seem to be one of the most varied there are - so many species, sub-species and colour variants make it a full time job (it certainly is for many people, and quite important too as they are an important part of the eco-system)
