Golden light on bright moss

The upper reaches of the Japanese hillside in Benmore were magical in the late afternoon today, just before the rain arrived. This area in fact always appears bright because of the colour of the moss; today it looked like a stage set.

A late walk because I'd become engrossed in more old photos, which sadly are too small for Blipfoto - I'd hoped to post one of my father, aged 2, in a sailor hat, but had a stern admonition to desist as it didn't meet the size requirements. I'll have to add them to my Flickr stream when I have time ...
